- Your "safe" stop is feeding my entry
Your "safe" stop is feeding my entry
here's why
Every time you stop out "safely," a smarter trader enters.
And they usually end up winning because of you.
Not because they're luckier.
Not because they have some insider info.
But because you just handed them liquidity.
Let me show you how.
I used to set my stops like everyone else.
Below support. Above resistance.
Tight enough to feel "safe," wide enough to "give the trade room."
Then I'd sit back and watch.
9 times out of 10, price would tag my stop… then reverse.
Hard.
"Oh I know, let me change everything I'm doing and add more confirmation. Then I won't be so unlucky."
Cleaner entries. More indicators. Wider stops.
Nope.
Still getting swept.
I wasn't unlucky. I was simply being played.
Smart money doesn't avoid your stops. They target them.
Because your stop is their fill.
They need volume to enter size. Where do they find volume?
Clusters of predictable retail exits.
Pretty trendlines. Obvious support. Breakout retests.
It's not a mystery. It's basic supply and demand.
You're the supply.
Here's What I Look For Now:
Areas where retail would logically put their stops
Price accelerating into those zones
A sharp rejection after the sweep
Clean structure forming after the damage is done
That's my entry.
Not before. Never during. Only after the cleanup.
You can probably take those 4 bullets, add it to your acumen, and start to see a difference,
It’s simple and plan,
It's just a matter of how you get introduced to it.
Your Stop Isn't Your Enemy
Stops aren't evil. But placing them blindly, mechanically, emotionally?
That's giving away the playbook.
Every retail trader puts their stop in the same logical place.
Below the low. Above the high. At round numbers.
Smart money knows this. They hunt these levels like wolves.
Your job isn't to hide from the hunt. It's to hunt with the pack.
Think Like a Sniper, Not a Scout
Wait for the sweep. Wait for the reaction. Then strike.
Take this information, give it a try, and start to see a real difference in how you see the market playing out.
Stop losses become entry signals.
Breakdowns become setups.
Fear becomes opportunity.
Your stop isn't your savior.
It's their entry.
Talk soon,
Atif
P.S. Inside Iron Forged, I break down exactly how to identify these stop zones and time your entries after the sweep. No more guessing. No more premature losses.
Oh and would you look at that, it's still 50% off. You won't see this rate again for a while because we've got something big coming up.
Do what you want with that information.
Would hate to have any of you regretting missed opportunities.
Ends tonight.
